East African Legislative Assembly, Kigali, Rwanda, December 4, 2015: Parliament of Uganda has earned 3 points and a 3-0 walk-over against Parliament of Tanzania in soccer at the Kigali, Memorial Stadium, Nyamirambo. Also earning three points and 3 goals in football is Parliament of Kenya over the Parliament of Burundi. Both Parliament of Tanzania and the Parliament of Burundi are not present at the week-long Inter-Parliamentary Games. It was the same story in Netball and Volleyball respectively. In Netball, Parliament of Uganda earned a 60 -0 score line and two points over Parliament of Tanzania while Kenya were awarded a similar margin over Parliament of Burundi. In Men’s Volleyball, Parliament of Uganda was awarded 2 Sets to 0 (of 25 points each set) over Parliament of Tanzania in Group A while Parliament of Kenya earned 2 Sets to 0 (of 25 points each set) in Group B. In Women’s Netball, Parliament of Uganda also benefited with an award of 2 Sets to 0 (of 25 points each set) over Parliament of Tanzania while Kenya carried a similar margin over Parliament of Burundi. Football, Netball and Volleyball are all been played on a Group basis. Meanwhile, the Netball semi-finals have been brought a day earlier. Arising from the walk-overs and the Games played yesterday, Parliament of Uganda leads Group A while Parliament of Kenya tops Group B.Uganda shall now face Parliament of Rwanda while Parliament of Parliament of Kenya will face-off with EALA. Monday shall also feature athletics for both men and women in 200 metres, relay 100 metres x 4 and the 400 mx 4. The on-going games feature football, athletics, netball, golf and volleyball. The Golf tournament commenced with a tee-off at the Kigali Golf Club, Nyarutarama.Speaker, EALA, Daniel F. Kidega took the first tee off the lawn a few minutes to 9 am in the morning.
