Nairobi, Kenya - The East Africa Legislative Assembly’s Commission which oversees the affairs of the Assembly is currently gathered in Nairobi to discuss and approve the upcoming business of the house in preparation for the EALA’s 3rd Meeting, 2nd Session of the 5th Assembly, scheduled for the 3rd of March – 20th of March, 2024 in Nairobi, in line with Article 55 of the Treaty for establishment of the East African Community, which provides for rotational sittings of the Assembly among the member states.
Chaired by the esteemed Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), Rt. Hon. Joseph Ntakirutimana, the Commission is meticulously organizing the agenda and activities for the forthcoming EALA meeting.
The 5th Assembly will deliberate on important regional matters, legislations proposed for harmonization, and strategies to bolster socio-economic development within the East African region. EALA's commitment to promoting the principles of good governance, democracy, and regional peace will remain at the core of the House discussions during this critical session.
